Volume 1 introduces the key concepts of mountain pose (proper posture and alignment), lengthening the spine, strengthening the legs, and establishing connection with the earth. Included are basic standing poses, cat stretch, and forward bends. Without a strong foundation, what rises above is weak and unstable!
